Worthington Arts Festival: Saturday – Sunday, June 17 – 18 (Rain or Shine).

Hours of operation:
Saturday, June 17, 2018; 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday, June 18, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

What: The 29th Annual Worthington Arts Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 17-18, 2023.  The Festival is soliciting food vendors to participate in the full run of the festival. 2022 attendance was 15,000 across 2 days.

Where:  The lawn of the McConnell Arts Center/Thomas Worthington High School.  Address is 300 W Dublin Granville Rd., Worthington, OH 43085 or 777 Evening Street, Worthington, OH  43085.  Food vendors will be located on hard pavement, behind the McConnell Arts Center.

When:  Deadline to apply for is April 1, 2023. You will be notified of acceptance and an agreement by April 21, 2023. A fee of $325 per space will be due at that time.  All fees are absolutely non-refundable. In June, a confirmation packet will be emailed to you which will include directions, tentative placement on the site, a map, parking directions and additional promotional material. Set-up for the event will be Saturday, June 17, 6:30-8:30 AM. An additional questionnaire will be sent after acceptance notifications.

Space: Only one vendor per space, a separate application must be submitted for each vendor.  All vending must be kept inside your allotted space and no additional tables, displays or merchandise are to be placed in any of the walk ways or the right-of-ways.  If using a transport vehicle or truck, it must be parked in the designated parking lots, away from the food vending areas following load in.  Space is very limited. Location of tents may change up until load-in time. This is at the discretion of the festival staff.

You will be placed according to our needs and menus items submitted.  The placement is at the sole discretion of the Festival.  Fire regulations require all cooking areas to be secured and separate from public spaces.  All items sold MUST have been listed on the application form in advance, with the event reserving the right to make any menu adjustments or shifts during the event.  Vendors must clean up their spaces at the close of the festival, and return to the condition found.  If any additional clean-up or restoration is needed, costs will be billed back to the vendor directly. Violation of any or all of these regulations or a failed inspection puts the vendor at risk for a levied fine, closure and exclusion from any future events.

If using a tent, it must be properly weighted (40 lb weight per leg.) Staff will inspect proper tent weighting and failure to follow guidelines will result in removal without refund. Absolutely no staking is permitted on the lawn.

Electrical: All food vendors must be self-contained. Honda generators are preferred due to noise levels. There is one Pagoda electric unit that will be available to food vendors. This unit only has 120 volts (typical wall outlet.) Any higher needs for electric will need to be provided by vendor and self-contained.

Water:  Limited water is available off-site (inside the kitchen of the MAC.) Vendors are fully responsible for collection and transport of water. You must notify staff one week prior to festival if you will need access to water on site.

Food vendors are expected to remain for the full duration of the festival each day. Vendors may only leave early in the case of total sell-outs of product. Vendors must receive permission from Worthington Art Festival staff before leaving.

Vendors are permitted to leave their equipment and trucks/tents overnight. They may also leave to restock and prep. Staff must be notified at least one week before the festival if you will need use of the electrical unit overnight. The electrical unit will not be available until 30 minutes prior to the opening of the festival each day (unless you remain plugged in the night before.)

The Worthington Arts Festival does not ensure any minimums for sales or attendance. The Worthington Arts Festival does not guarantee exclusivity across menu items or food options.
